Due to the inconsistency of incoming power to the machines in certain installations, there are occasions when,upon initial start up of the Hose Heat Circuit, a rush of current would spike and cause the transformer breaker to pop. This nuisance tripping could eventually diminish the integrity of the Hose Heat Breaker. The In-Rush Current Limiter is actually a Thermistor that does not allow the full amount of current to flow to the Hose Heat Circuit on initial start up. Once the Thermistor has warmed up, the full current is allowed to flow.The In-Rush Current Limiter is now available for sale as an upgrade kit to be installed on all PMC machines built prior to April, 2014. The kit is Part Number KT-18 and includes the following components:
1 - #EL-193 Inrush current limiter
1 - #EL-192 Ceramic terminal block
1 - #8 gauge wire, 12, with ferrule crimped on
1 - Loose insulated ferrule #81
1 - #10-32 screw and nut
