Q: What is a CS Gun?A: The CS gun has a fluid tube that flushes the chamber each time the trigger is released and is supposed to keep the chamber clean internally. The tubes where sold as throw-away prefills. SPF Depot sold the CS-Blue Fluid for a number of years before Graco started selling the fluid to refill their tubes. The side seal assembly is a much smaller design than any other gun. The CS also has as an adjustment knob on the rear thats supposed to allow you to adjust the flow rate. It doesn't work all that well and Graco reps where often telling their customers to leave it alone. The fluid tubes make this a higher cost of operation, plus SPF Depot is the only aftermarket parts supplier for the CS gun in the world market and they don't even make all the parts. It seems to be a more popular gun in the NW USA and Canada for some reason and its non-existant overseas. See all SPF Depot CS gun parts here: CS Parts
Q: What are common wear parts on a CS gun?A: The side seals and chamber is always the number one issue. SPF Depot has a hardened chamber (
Chamber Listing ) that doesn't score, making the life span far superior to the OEM. Next is the Blue Fluid to fill your tubes (
Fluid Listing ) Then all of the O-rings which are special. The Blue Fluid will melt Viton seals that so many people sell online. CS O-Rings can't be a standard viton or buna rubber.
SPF Depot opinion: Avoid it. Graco makes some very good guns and the Fusion CS is not the best.
