SPF Depot offers replacement side seals for Fusion AP, Graco Probler P2, PMC AP2, and Xtreme spray foam guns in multiple materials and hardness
Hardness does not equal superior in all cases. Also, if you're using pliers to extract a side seal like a wisdom tooth - nothing you buy will matter.
SPF Depot Side Seal Choice differences.
246348-SS is Heat Treated 304 Stainless like some OEM's use.
246348-G is A2 steel, Heat Treated and TiN coated harder than the SS. (TiN is the gold color on drill bits and taps)
246348-T is a pure Titanum part with an unsurpassed hardness in the market.
249990 PEEK Seal. Most in the market are Delrin. Delrin is a cheaper raw material with a good chemical resistance rating. PEEK is far superior in chemical and heat resistance ratings and a more expensive raw material than Delrin which is why most OEM's use Delrin.
I always recommend PEEK seals because they are less expensive. If you have a scoring issue on OEM chambers the PEEK seems to cure that problem. Then again, the SPF Depot hardened chambers don't scratch. You can't even drill into it with a carbide bit. To make a hole in our hardened chambers, you have to use an EDM machine.
Using our hardened chamber and our Titanium side seals will pretty much eliminate having to buy new side seals and chambers for several months if properly installed and removed for cleaning.
Advantages of PEEK Seals:
PEEK offers higher temperature capability, better wear resistance, and greater mechanical strength than standard acetal materials.
PEEK, while softer than stainless steel, PEEK can provide superior performance in sealing and sliding wear applications where friction, galling, and chemical exposure matter. (Prevents scoring)
PEEK side seals engineered for longer wear life than standard plastics while being gentler on mating metal surfaces.
Next, for hardcore guys that are spraying numerous sets per month, I recommend our Titanium Side seals with SPF Depot chambers. The life span of these two items is over the top. Then again, if your using pliers and pipe wrenches to extract a side seal, well .......
